This site has been developed by groups in three villages in North Yorkshire. We have recorded in Terrington, Rosedale and the villages around the ruins of Byland Abbey. Samples of dialect, ambient sounds, poetry, story, music and song are available via this site. CDs have been produced for each area. Groups of people have been trained in recording and their edited files in whole or in part are placed on this site. Copies of all the material are also being placed in the county archive in Northallerton.
