Terrington

Terrington is a small working village near Castle Howard. The village community is very active with a village choir, a book group, a wine society, walking groups, the WI, the garden club and a snooker and bowls club. This year the village is celebrating ten years of Terrington Arts with a vllage festival.

The project has recorded several of these different groups including the Terrington village choir, both school choirs, and the village band - Tiefrung Gleemen, named after the old name for Terrington, as well as interviews with local residents and readings from the drama group.

Contributors include

Poems by John Nursey, Terrington C of E primary, Terrington Hall school, Anita Barber, Fiona Ward, David Goodwin, and Marcia Wigham. Local organiser Lesley Bradshaw.
