Sounds of Rosedale

The images on this page show the Rosedale CD front cover, track list and an area map which is inside the DC slip cover.

The CD has a total of 36 recordings including reminiscence about the mining days, riding up Chimney Bank on a home made bike in 1913, the village school, playing football in the fog and many other topics. The tales are told with humour and feeling and convey a sense of what life in Rosedale was like in the past and how it has changed.

These stories told with humor and feeling are all the more poignant for being born in an isolated upland which holds the distinction of having the largest continuous tract of unenclosed heather moorland in England and Wales.
